- Chill a mixing bowl in the freezer for about 10 minutes.
- Add cold heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract to the bowl. Whip on medium speed until soft peaks form (2-3 minutes).
- Inspect and arrange cannoli shells on a large platter.
- Fill the bottom half of each cannoli shell with lemon curd using a spoon or piping bag.
- Swirl whipped cream on top of the lemon curd in each cannoli shell.
- Dust with powdered sugar and sprinkle lemon zest over the top. Optionally, add a lemon slice as garnish.
- Refrigerate filled cannoli for about 15 minutes to let flavors meld and to maintain cream fluffiness.
