One-Pan Sticky Honey Chicken – Ready in 30 Minutes!

Ingredients
  

For the Chicken:
  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for frying
For the Honey Sauce:
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 teaspoons water
For Garnish:
  • Sesame seeds
  • Chopped green onions

Method
 

Prepare the Chicken:
  1. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and pat dry.
  2. Mix cornstarch, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
  3. Dip each chicken piece into beaten egg, then coat in the cornstarch mixture.
Cook the Chicken:
  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Fry chicken pieces for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Make the Honey Sauce:
  1. In the same pan, add honey, soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Stir and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add cornstarch slurry and stir until the sauce thickens.
Coat the Chicken:
  1. Return the fried chicken to the pan and toss it in the sticky honey sauce.
  2. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fully coated.
Serve & Enjoy:
  1. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
  2. Serve hot with rice, noodles, or stir-fried vegetables.

Notes

For Extra Crispiness – Double coat the chicken with cornstarch.
Make It Spicy – Add red pepper flakes or Sriracha to the sauce.
Healthier Option – Bake at 400°F for 20-25 minutes or air-fry at 375°F for 12-15 minutes.
Best Served Fresh – The sauce can soften the crispy coating over time.
