  • Roasting pan
  • Aluminum Foil

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by removing the tough membrane from the back of the baby back ribs for better tenderness.
  2. In a bowl, combine brown sugar, applewood seasoning, chipotle chili powder, and cracked black pepper to create a sweet and spicy rub.
  3. Once the rub is applied, cover the ribs with plastic wrap or place in a zip-top bag. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, ideally overnight.
  4. Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).
  5. In a deep roasting pan, mix chicken broth, apple cider vinegar, and liquid smoke seasoning. Place the ribs in the pan, meat-side up, and cover tightly with aluminum foil.
  6. Place the covered roasting pan in the preheated oven and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours.
  7. After baking, carefully transfer the ribs to a foil-lined baking sheet. Brush a generous amount of barbecue sauce over the top, then set your oven to broil on low.
  8. Once broiling is complete, remove the ribs from the oven and tent loosely with foil. Let them rest for 10-15 minutes.
