Ingredients
  

  • 4 bone-in skin-on chicken thighs
  • 4 bone-in skin-on chicken drumsticks
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce your favorite brand

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
  2. Pat chicken dry and rub with olive oil. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Arrange chicken on the rack and roast for 35 minutes.
  4. Remove from oven, brush with BBQ sauce, and return to oven for 10–15 more minutes, until caramelized and internal temp is 165°F.
  5. Optional: Broil for 2–3 minutes for extra char.
  6. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

  • Use skin-on, bone-in pieces for best flavor and texture.
  • Try it with spicy BBQ sauce or a honey glaze for variety.
