Step-by-Step Instructions

  5. Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, preferably overnight.
  6. Before baking, let the casserole sit at room temperature for about 1 hour.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 to 40 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm with maple syrup.
