Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet.
- In a bowl, combine peanut butter, sugar, egg, baking soda, vanilla, and salt.
- Roll dough into balls and place on the baking sheet.
- Flatten each ball with a fork in a crisscross pattern.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes until edges are set.
Notes
- Use creamy or crunchy peanut butter
- Chill dough for thicker cookies
- Dip in melted chocolate for a twist
- Add chocolate chips for a peanut butter-chocolate version
