Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Mix in egg yolk and vanilla.
- Stir in flour and salt to form dough.
- Roll into balls and create a small well in the center of each.
- Mix pecans, corn syrup, and brown sugar. Spoon filling into cookie centers.
- Bake for 12–14 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
Notes
- Chill dough for 20 minutes for easier handling. Add a dash of cinnamon for warmth.
