Preparation
  1. Wash and trim the ends of the green beans. Heat about 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Once the oil is shimmering, add the green beans and fry them for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently until they become blistered and tender.
  3. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, broth, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Mince the garlic and add it to the mixture.
  4. Pour the garlic sauce over the blistered green beans while keeping the heat high. Stir-fry for about 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Transfer the finished green beans to a serving dish. Garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions if desired and serve immediately.
