Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a standard muffin tin.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out your thawed puff pastry sheets to smooth out any creases.
- Combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl; blend until smooth.
- Spread half of your cream cheese mixture over one sheet of puff pastry, then layer with raspberry preserves.
- Repeat with the second sheet, adding cream cheese filling and raspberry preserves.
- Roll each pastry sheet tightly into logs and slice in half lengthwise.
- Twist each half gently before coiling it into a spiral shape and place into greased muffin cups.
- Optional: Brush the tops of each cruffin with melted butter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 22-25 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
- Once baked, cool slightly in the pan before dusting with powdered sugar and serving.
