Brewing and Preparing
- Start by boiling 2 cups of water in a medium saucepan. Once it reaches a rolling boil, remove it from heat, and add your chai tea bags or loose-leaf tea. Let the tea steep for 5 minutes, then allow it to cool to room temperature. After cooling, refrigerate the brewed chai for at least 30 minutes to enhance its refreshing qualities.
- While your chai cools, take 1 cup of fresh raspberries and place them in a blender. Add 1 teaspoon of honey to sweeten, adjusting as necessary based on the raspberries' tartness. Blend until the mixture is smooth and vibrant. If you prefer a smoother texture, strain the purée through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds.
- In a large glass or pitcher, combine the chilled chai tea with 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract. Gently stir in the raspberry purée until evenly mixed.
- Fill tall serving glasses with ice cubes. Once the ice is ready, pour the raspberry chai mixture over the ice, filling the glass about three-quarters full. Gently add your preferred milk or dairy-free alternative on top.
- Top each glass with fresh raspberries and a light sprinkle of cinnamon, if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing burst of flavors!
