Ingredients
Method
- Prepare the Mixture: In a large bowl, combine flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, onion, beaten egg, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and parsley. Mix well until fully combined.
- Form the Croquettes: Shape the mixture into small patties or oval-shaped croquettes (about 2 inches in diameter).
- Heat the Oil: In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Cook the Croquettes: Fry the croquettes for 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
- Serve: Enjoy warm with tartar sauce, remoulade, or a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, coat the croquettes in additional breadcrumbs before frying.
- You can use fresh or canned salmon—just make sure to remove any bones and skin.
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes as a healthier alternative to frying.
