Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Tongs
  • plastic wrap
  • zip-top bag

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by rinsing your boneless chicken thighs or breasts under cold water and trimming any excess fat. Cut the chicken into approximately 2-inch pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, lemon juice, brown sugar, honey, rice wine, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Coat the chicken pieces in the marinade and seal the bowl with plastic wrap or a zip-top bag. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat for about 3 minutes until hot.
  5. Add the marinated chicken pieces to the hot skillet in a single layer. Sear each side for about 2-3 minutes until golden-brown.
  6. Use some of the reserved marinade to baste the chicken while cooking, adjusting heat as necessary.
  7. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
  8. Serve hot alongside rice or in lettuce wraps, and enjoy!
