  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder or use fresh minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper customize to liking
  • 2 stalks green onions chopped, can use yellow onion
  • 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha optional, for heat
For the Brussels Sprouts
  • 4 cups shredded Brussels sprouts or halved regular sprouts
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil or vegetable/olive oil
For the Glaze
  • 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce your favorite brand
  • 1/2 whole lime for acidity, optional
For Garnish
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds optional

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat over medium-high heat and add the ground beef. Cook for 5-7 minutes, crumbling the beef as it turns brown. Season with garlic powder, salt, pepper, green onions, soy sauce, and optional sriracha. Remove and set aside.
  2. Lower the heat to medium, add avocado oil to the skillet for 1 minute. Add shredded Brussels sprouts and sauté for 5-7 minutes until tender and golden brown.
  3. Return the cooked beef to the skillet with sprouts. Pour in sweet chili sauce and squeeze the lime juice over the mixture. Stir for 2-3 minutes to meld flavors.
  4. Remove from heat and spoon onto serving plates. Optionally sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving warm.
