Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add 250g of ground beef and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  2. Stir in 1 teaspoon of grated ginger and 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, cooking for 10-15 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Pour in 1 cup of water and add 2 teaspoons of white pepper powder. Simmer covered for 10 minutes.
  4. While beef simmers, cook 120g of vermicelli for 3-4 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water.
  5. Mix 2 tablespoons of corn flour with ½ cup of water. Add to beef sauce and stir until thickened.
  6. Combine the drained vermicelli with the beef sauce, toss to coat, and heat through for 2 minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped spring onions, sesame seeds, and chili oil if desired before serving.
