Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups marinara sauce

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, soak breadcrumbs in milk for 2–3 minutes.
  3. Add ground meats, egg, garlic, Parmesan, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  4. Form mixture into 1 1/2-inch meatballs and place on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 18–20 minutes or until browned.
  6. Transfer meatballs to a saucepan with marinara sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
  7. Serve over pasta, in hoagies, or with crusty bread.

Notes

  • Use a cookie scoop for even-sized meatballs.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
