Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat a splash of oil over medium heat. Brown 1 pound of ground beef for about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Sauté 5 minced garlic cloves in the skillet for about 1 minute, until fragrant and lightly golden.
  4. Mix in 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup beef broth, 1/3 cup soy sauce, and 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce. Add spices and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Combine 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water to create a slurry. Stir this into the sauce and cook until thickened.
  6. Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  7. Top with freshly sliced green onions and serve hot.
