Preparation
- Soak the frozen udon noodles in hot water for about 1 minute, then rinse under cold water to stop cooking.
- Season the shrimp or chosen protein lightly with salt and pepper.
- In a wok, heat the cooking oil over medium heat and cook the shrimp for approximately 2 minutes.
- Sauté sliced onion and minced garlic in the same wok for about 1 minute.
- Add shredded cabbage, julienned carrot, and sliced mushrooms and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Add cooked udon noodles and the shrimp back to the wok with sauce mixture, stir-frying for another 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped green onions, drizzle with Kewpie mayo, and sprinkle with bonito flakes and sesame seeds before serving.
