  • 1 cup cranberry sauce Use canned or homemade
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice For vibrant flavor

  • 3 minced garlic cloves For aromatic depth

Method
 

Steps
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Season 1 pound of chicken with salt and pepper. Sear in the skillet for 5-7 minutes until golden brown, flip and cook for 3-5 minutes more.
  3. Remove chicken, add 1 chopped onion and 3 minced garlic cloves, sauté for 3-4 minutes until onion is translucent.
  4. Pour in 1 cup of cranberry sauce and 1/2 cup of orange juice, stir and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet to coat with sauce, cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Add red pepper flakes if desired and simmer for another minute.
  7. Serve the chicken warm, spooning sauce over it.
