Sopapilla Cheesecake Bars are a must-try dessert!

Layers of flaky crescent dough, creamy cheesecake filling, and a cinnamon-sugar topping make these dessert bars an irresistible treat with a Southwestern flair.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans 8 oz each crescent roll dough
  • 2 packages 8 oz each cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar + 1 tablespoon cinnamon for topping

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Press one can of crescent dough into a greased 9x13 pan.
  3. Beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread over dough.
  4. Top with second layer of dough.
  5. Pour melted butter over the top, then sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mix.
  6. Bake 30 minutes. Cool and chill before slicing.

Notes

  • For extra sweetness, drizzle with honey after baking.
  • Can be served warm or cold.
