Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons oil vegetable or sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce optional for depth
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1 –2 teaspoons chili flakes or sriracha adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions chopped (for garnish)
  • Cooked rice for serving

Method
 

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the chicken pieces and sear until lightly browned and cooked through, about 6–8 minutes.
  3. Push the chicken to one side of the pan. Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), vinegar, chili flakes, and honey. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly.
  5. Let the sauce simmer for 2–3 minutes until it slightly thickens.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, or more heat as desired.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot over rice.

Notes

  • You can substitute chicken with tofu or shrimp.
  • For extra veggies, add bell peppers or snap peas during step 2.
  • If you like it saucier, double the sauce ingredients.
