Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs chicken thighs or breasts cut into chunks
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water
  • Chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Method
 

  1. Place chicken in slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together pineapple juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, ketchup, and garlic.
  3. Pour over the chicken.
  4. Cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Before serving, mix cornstarch and water, stir into sauce, and cook 10 minutes more to thicken.
  6. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

  • Pairs perfectly with rice or noodles.
