For the Meatloaf Base
  • 1 lb Ground Beef (or Ground Turkey) substitute for turkey, chicken, or plant-based options
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs or traditional breadcrumbs
  • 1 medium Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1 large Egg, Beaten
For the Flavor Boost
  • 2 tbsp Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 3 tbsp Gochujang (Korean Chili Paste) adjust according to spice tolerance
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil or olive oil as substitute
For Garnishing
  • 2 tbsp Green Onions, Chopped
  • Sesame Seeds optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef (or turkey), panko breadcrumbs, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, low-sodium soy sauce, gochujang, brown sugar, sesame oil, and beaten egg. Mix thoroughly until well incorporated.
  3. Transfer the meat mixture to a lined loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
  4. Place the meatloaf in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  5. Let the meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes on a cutting board.
  6. Slice the meatloaf and garnish with chopped green onions and optional sesame seeds.
