Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties.
- Brown patties in oil on both sides, then place in a baking dish.
- Sauté onions and mushrooms until tender. Stir in soup and broth.
- Pour over patties and bake for 25–30 minutes.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
Notes
- Add garlic or thyme to the gravy for more depth.
- Freezes well—cool completely before storing.
