  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 small bell pepper sliced
  • ½ cup broccoli florets
  • 2 green onions sliced (for garnish)

Teriyaki Sauce
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water slurry

Method

  1. Cook the Noodles: Boil the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Set aside.

  6. Combine Everything: Return the cooked steak, shrimp, and noodles to the pan. Pour in the teriyaki sauce and stir well. Add the cornstarch slurry and cook for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Notes

  • Protein Swaps: Swap steak for chicken or tofu for a different twist.
  • Make it Spicier: Add red pepper flakes or a dash of sriracha for heat.
  • Gluten-Free Option: Use tamari instead of soy sauce and rice noodles instead of wheat noodles.
  • Storage Tips: Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet with a splash of water.
