Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Prepare your glasses by dipping the rims in cream of coconut and then into shredded coconut flakes. Set aside to dry.
  2. In a blender, combine vanilla ice cream, crushed pineapple, coconut milk, and cream of coconut. Add rum if desired. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour the milkshake into prepared glasses. Top with whipped cream and maraschino cherries if using. Serve immediately.
