Method
 

Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the unsalted butter in a microwave-safe bowl and allow it to cool slightly.
  3. Whisk the melted butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  4. Mix in vanilla extract, salt, and orange zest until combined.
  5. Incorporate the large eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Sift in the all-purpose flour and baking soda, gently folding until just combined.
  7. Fold in white chocolate chunks or chips, chopped cranberries, and walnuts.
  8. Chill the dough for at least 1 hour for chewier cookies.
  9. Shape the dough into 1.5-ounce balls and space them evenly on baking sheets.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes until edges are golden and centers slightly underdone.
  11. Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
