- 1 ounce taco seasoning (1 packet)
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh cilantro
- 6 burrito-sized flour tortillas
- 16 ounces refried beans, warmed (1 can)
- 1½ cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 cup salsa (use your favorite brand)
- Optional Toppings:
- Sour cream
- Hot sauce
- Guacamole
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. - Cook the Beef Filling:
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until the beef is browned and no longer pink. Break the meat apart with a spoon as it cooks.
- Add the taco seasoning to the skillet and stir for about a minute to combine.
- Stir in the minced cilantro and remove from heat.
- Assemble the Burritos:
- Lay a tortilla flat on a clean work surface. Spread a thin layer of warmed refried beans across the center.
- Add a scoop of rice, followed by the beef mixture, shredded cheese, and a spoonful of salsa.
- Wrap the tortilla tightly, folding in the sides to create a burrito.
- Place the burrito seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat this process for the remaining tortillas.
- Bake the Burritos:
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 5–10 minutes, or until the cheese melts and the tortillas are slightly crispy.
- Serve and Enjoy:
- Serve the burritos warm, with optional toppings like sour cream, hot sauce, and guacamole on the side.
