Description
A delicious recipe for steak and shrimp skewers, perfect for grilling enthusiasts.
Ingredients
- 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 medium onion, cut into wedges
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Wooden or metal skewers
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Add the steak cubes and shrimp to the marinade, tossing to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Thread the marinated steak, shrimp, bell peppers, and onion onto the skewers, alternating between the ingredients.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the steak is cooked to your desired doneness and the shrimp are pink and opaque.
- Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, try marinating the skewers overnight.
- You can substitute the steak with chicken or use different vegetables like zucchini or cherry tomatoes for variety.
