The University of Helsinki offers annual scholarships to outstanding students that are not from the EU/EEA area and Switzerland who wish to pursue a Master’s program at the University of Helsinki.

Scholarship value categories:
- Fully Funded Scholarship (Tuition fee + 10 000 EUR).
- Full Tuition fee scholarship.
- Tuition fees vary from 13 000 to 18 000 euros.
The scholarship duration is two years. Students are required to be enrolled in a full-time study program (earn at least 55 ECTS per year) to meet the requirements of the scholarship.
The scholarship is granted for the first year, after that, the students’ progress will be checked, and based on that, the students will continue receiving the scholarship.

Eligibility criteria:
All applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for this scholarship:
• Applicants must apply for a Master’s program at the University of Helsinki, and they have to meet its eligibility requirements.
• Applicants must be liable for international tuition fees: Citizens of countries outside the EU/EEA, who don’t have permanent residence status in the EU/EEA area are required to pay tuition fees. Applicants can check the FAQ at the Studyinfo website to see whether or not they are liable for tuition fees.
• Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements for obtaining an entry visa and residence permit for Finland.
• Applicants must have obtained excellent results in their previous studies and be able to prove this in their application.
How to apply for a scholarship:
Applicants must first find the Master’s program they wish to apply for through the Degree Finder portal. After that, they must check the instruction on how to apply to the master’s program and prepare the necessary documents.
Students can apply for a scholarship through the same application form they used to apply for the Master’s program and will have to submit all the required documents.
