Ingredients

For the Fruit Base
  • 4-6 cups Fresh or Frozen Fruit Choose your favorite fruit like berries, mango, or peaches.
For Sweetness
  • 4-6 Tbsp Honey Natural sweetener; can be swapped with sugar or a substitute.
For Balance
  • 4 Tbsp Lemon Juice Balances sweetness and prevents browning; lime juice is an alternative.

Equipment

  • blender
  • Saucepan
  • Baking Sheets
  • Parchment paper
  • Spatula
  • Oven

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by washing your fresh or frozen fruits, ensuring they’re clean. Peel and chop fruits like peaches or mangos into smaller pieces, then blend until smooth in a blender or food processor.
  2. Transfer the puréed fruit back into the blender. Add honey and lemon juice, and mix until thoroughly combined, about 30 seconds.
  3. Pour the mixture into a saucepan over low heat. Simmer gently for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
  4. While warm, line baking sheets with parchment paper. Pour the mixture onto the sheets and spread evenly to about 1/8-inch thickness.
  5. Preheat the oven to 170°F (75°C). Place the baking sheets in the oven and dry the fruit spread for 4-6 hours, until not sticky.
  6. Remove from the oven and cool completely on the sheets. Cut into strips and roll with parchment paper for storage.
